Scotts Valley Farmers’ Market will OPEN for the 2026 season on May 2nd!
The Scotts Valley Farmers’ Market will reopen on May 2nd in its home at the Scotts Valley Joe and Linda Aliberti Boys and Girls Club. We have new hours – 8am-noon every Saturday. This is when the bustle happens; we’re embracing it. Show up in number folks and make the market part of your weekly routine.
Established in 2009 with the City of Scotts Valley, this market has become a seasonal highlight to the local community and to those visiting the area looking for a place to slow down and unwind. Saturdays from late spring through the fall, a circle of regional farms, local food businesses and other makers set up their stands to offer shoppers and diners an array of delicious edibles. The market is a resource for nutritious food and agricultural education, providing a gathering place for families, friends and neighbors. Whether your a weekly shopper or just passing through, find what you’re looking for amidst the robust selection of organic vegetables, fruits, herbs, pasture-raised chicken eggs, flowers, artisanal meats, breads, seafood, pastries, espresso bar and ready-to-eat cuisine.
Market Match Special & EBT
Established in 2015, Market Match (MM) continues to run strong as our foundational food-access program. Largely funded through state and federal funding, it provides a dollar-for-dollar match up to $15; $15 of EBT is matched with $15 in MM for fresh fruits and vegetables. EBT is also known as CalFresh (statewide) and the Supplemental Nutrition Incentive Program (federally) – historically EBT has been called foodstamps. If a customer swipes their EBT card for seven dollars, they get seven dollars in MM tokens for free. Swipe for $15 EBT and receive $15 MM. Swipe for $20 EBT and receive $15 MM – the match maxing out at $15.
The goal of this project is to encourage EBT recipients to take advantage of fresh, California-grown fruits and vegetables from small and mid-sized farmers. By offering an incentive that makes fresh produce more affordable we help shoppers stretch their food dollars while buying nutritious food. Locate the information booth and the market manager to redeem EBT coins and to participate in the Market Match program.
