In addition to providing a place to purchase fresh, organic fruits and vegetables, pasture-raised meats and tasty prepared foods, the markets also offer a thriving community gathering place. At the markets, families, friends and visitors can enjoy local music, good company and educational events which highlight the tremendous work being done by a slew of exceptional farms and food artisans in the region.
We operate on a minimal budget so every contribution matters from. As a Friend of the markets your donation will help us do the following:
- Offer public education programs and events like the Foodshed Project.
- Train local youth in food systems work through hands on experience.
- Develop our Pop-Up Breakfast Series which combines exceptional food with education.
- Support local musicians that provide entertainment at our 5 markets.
- Increase public awareness of the markets – growing the business success and viability of the farmers and food artisans we hold dear.
- Integrate programs like Zero Waste into our market operations – helping us reduce our impact on the ecological systems we are a part of.
- Increase our accessibility to low-income, non-traditional market customers.
