Description

In this series we work to bring in chefs that are farmers’ market driven, fierce about food and invested in community work. In 2024 we are truly pleased to host chef Diego Felix of Colectivo Felix for the first time. Born and raised in Ciudad Evita just outside of Buenos Aires, Diego grew up within a vegetarian/macrobiotic family. At the time, healthy food options were very simply prepared and used few flavors and ingredients—a defining influence on Diego’s now rebelliously vibrant and diverse cuisine.

Diego is passionate about the cuisine of his region, using his work in the kitchen to support small-scale producers, and constantly researching the flavors and culinary knowledge of South America. He has become well known in Santa Cruz as a chef collaborator over the past decade and eaters swoon over his empanadas which are colorful in flavor and shape. This breakfast is going to make us all very happy.

At the Pop-Up Breakfasts support our circuit of farmers’ markets and help us deepen and continue our work while celebrating what is in season and grown by many skilled hands.
